Apple Cinnamon Bites, Apple Roll-ups

 

These Easy Apple Roll-ups just make my mouth water, it’s like your very own bite of apple pie.   And who doesn’t like apple pie right?    These snacks can be ready to eat in about 30 minutes with a  limited amount of work.    We used parchment paper to make our cleanup easy.

 

Apple Cinnamon Rolls Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of 8 count Crescent Rolls
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 Tablespoons butter, melted 
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 granny smith apple, cored and cut into 8 slices

Homemade Caramel Sauce Ingredients 

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cuup butter
  • ¼ milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

 

Equipment Needed:

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Apple Slicer, optional
  • Pastry Brush

 

How to Make Apple Cinnamon Rolls:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside and lie down a sheet of parchment paper on your countertop.    Separate and roll out each little of the 8 pieces of the crescent dough.   In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.    Sprinkle each piece with 2 tbsp of a sugar mixture similar to making cinnamon rolls.

Slice an apple into eight wedges using a sharp knife or an apple slicer.    Divide the chopped pecans evenly between each of the crescents.  Take the apple slices and toss them in the melted butter. Add one apple slice to the wide end of your crescent roll, and roll it up towards the narrow end. Repeat for the remaining rolls. 

Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and place onto your parchment covered cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes until crescents begin to turn golden brown and remove from oven.  

 

How to Make the Homemade Caramel Sauce

In a small saucepan, bring brown sugar, butter, and milk to a boil. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the caramel thickens. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Make the caramel sauce and drizzle it over the top of these flaky apple cinnamon rolls.   These little apple Roll-ups are served as soon as they come out of the oven.

For the Apple Roll-ups
