  • Make sure the labels are removed from your cans then wash and dry them. Place on a paper plate or old newpaper to protect you working surface. Paint your cans white and allow to completely dry.
  • Use the blue masking tape to create stripes on one can leaving stripes of white showing through.
  • Place star stickers on the other can spacing them out in resemblance to the USA flag.
  • Paint the exposed area of the striped can red. Paint over the entire can with the star stickers with the blue paint
  • When the red paint on the painted can has dried completely, carefully remove the tape. Then when the blue paint can has dried completely, remove the star stickers very carefully.
  • Tie a bow around the top of each painted can with twine or jute
  • Fill each painted can with flowers and use to decorate your table for a pretty patriotic centerpiece.
