Cut 8 inch long wire from your wire bundle. You can measure a longer piece of wire if you wish to craft a bigger bookmark with bigger twirl patterns. Hold the wire from any one open end and use the looping pliers to create a small loop at that end.

Coil the wire around the loop to create a twirl pattern. Keep the coils nice and loose. Coil the wire 2 or 3 times around the loop for the 8 inch wire. You can coil it more than 3 times if you’re using a longer piece of wire.

Similarly, create another twirl pattern on the other open end of your wire. Make sure to keep both twirl patterns the same size.

After creating both twirl patterns on the ends of the wire, use the ruler to measure the middle point of the wire. Bend the wire at that point and bringing the two twirl patterns towards each other.

Tighten the bend using your flat nose pliers and adjust the twirls to give the wire heart bookmark a nice shape.
