Equipment

  • Water Spray bottle
  • Plastic gloves
  • parchment covered sheet pan

Ingredients

  • 12 White hard-boiled eggs
  • Food Coloring
  • 12 Coffee Filters
  • 12 Twist Ties
  • Paper towels

Instructions

  • Make sure you are starting with dry, hard boiled eggs that you have cooled completely. Place one of your eggs in the center of a paper coffee filter.
  • Fold the coffee filter up around the egg and use your twist tie to close. Wrap the rest of your eggs in coffee filters and tie.
  • Place drops of food coloring directly on your wrapped eggs. Be sure to leave white spaces as well. Continue until the filters are covered with spots.
  • Gently spray each food coloring dot with the water bottle. The food coloring will spread and mix with the other colors. Squeeze out the extra water with a paper towel. And place on a parchment covered sheet pan to dry overnight.
  • Carefully unwrap the eggs from the dried filters. Now enjoy!
