Homemade Blueberry Syrup
A three ingredient simple syrup made from fresh or frozen berries
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
- 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons water
In a medium saucepan, bring water, sugar, and blueberries to a boil. Stir occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Combine 2 Tablespoons water and cornstarch in a small jar with a lid and shake well. (Mason jar works great)
Add the water-cornstarch mixture to simmering berries
Stir continuously as the sauce thickens and the blueberries burst
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
