Ingredients

  • 1 quart prepared eggnog
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 16 ounce container frozen orange juice thawed
  • 1/2 cup light rum optional
  • 1/4 cup orange flavored liqueur alcoholic
  • Or Toranri orange syrup non-alcoholic
  • whole nutmeg freshly grated (can substitute ground nutmeg)
  • zest from one orange
  • cinnamon sticks optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher combine eggnog, milk, orange juice, and orange liqueur such as Grande Marnier or triple sec (or Toranri orange syrup for a non alcoholic version). And add a light rum (if using). Cover and store in refrigerator for several hours prior to serving to allow flavors to blend.
  • Using a grater or a citrus zester, zest one orange saving the zest in a bowl for garnishing.
  • To serve, pour the orange eggnog into small glasses or mugs. Sprinkle the top with the orange zest. And use a nutmeg grater to grate the desired amount of nutmeg over the top. Serve with cinnamon stick if desired.
