individual charcuterie cups-Jarcuteries

Make everyone an individual charcuterie cup for your next party. These “jarcuteries”are like a personal charcuterie board in a mason jar. You could make them either savory with meats and cheeses or you could make these individual charcuterie jars in a sweet version.

Instructions

  • Start your charcuterie cups by adding about 3 tablespoons of mixed nuts to the bottom of a 4 ounce mason jar. You could use only peanuts, walnuts or pecans if desired. These nuts will create a base to stabilize the filled skewers or food picks.
  • Gather together meats and cheeses or other jarcuterie ingredients of your choosing. And grab several small skewers or food picks.
  • Cut the cheeses and summer sausage into chunks. And cut everything else into bite size pieces.
  • Thread a combination of the jarcuterie ingredients onto a food pick. The pepperoni and Salami slices can be folded into fourths or halves.
  • Continue to make several jarcuterie skewers using different combinations. You will need at about 3 skewers for every individual charcuterie cup.
  • Place 2 or 3 antipasto skewers in one of the nut filled mason jars and add mini bread sticks. Then fill with additional nuts to stabilize the skewers.
  • Also make fruit and cheese skewers for the sweet version of these individual charcuterie cups.
  • Create sweet or dessert individual charcuterie cups using cheeses, fruit, cookie sticks and dark chocolate squares. Place cheese or fruit skewers food picks in the mason jar. Then fill with additional fruit such as blueberries and top with a piece of dark chocolate.
  • Serve these personal charcuteries or “jarcuteries” with wine or cocktails. Or make for a special brunch with mimosas or bloody Marys.
