These adorable individual charcuterie cups (affectionately called “jarcuteries”) are the perfect grab-and-go twist on the classic charcuterie board. Packed into small mason jars with meats, cheeses, olives, pickles, nuts, and skewers for easy eating, they’re cute, customizable (try a sweet version with fruits and chocolate!), and ideal for mingling without the mess.

Instructions

  • Start building your jarcuteries by adding about 3 tablespoons of mixed nuts to the bottom of each 4-ounce mason jar (you can use just peanuts, walnuts, pecans, or any favorite nut if you prefer).
*This layer of nuts not only adds great flavor and crunch but also creates a stable base to hold your filled skewers or picks upright.
  • Gather your favorite jarcuterie ingredients—whether cured meats, cheeses, olives, fruits, or chocolate for a sweet version—along with several wooden skewers or long food picks.
  • Cut the cheeses and any summer sausage into bite-sized chunks, and chop other ingredients (like fruits, pickles, or veggies) into easy-to-eat pieces. This makes everything simple to skewer and enjoy straight from the jar!
  • Thread your chosen jarcuterie ingredients onto each skewer or pick in fun combinations. For the pepperoni or salami, fold the slices into halves or quarters to make them easier to stack and more visually appealing.
  • Keep building more skewers, mixing up the combinations of ingredients for variety—you’ll want about 3 skewers per individual charcuterie cup to make each one feel abundant and exciting.
  • Place 2 or 3 loaded antipasto skewers into one of the nut-filled mason jars, then tuck in a few mini breadsticks for extra crunch.
  • Finish by adding more nuts around the skewers to fill any gaps and keep everything standing upright and secure.
  • For the sweet version of these individual charcuterie cups, create delicious fruit and cheese skewers by threading bite-sized pieces of fresh fruit (like grapes, strawberries, or berries) with cubes of cheese (such as cheddar, brie, or gouda) onto your picks. Mix in chocolate pieces or cookie sticks for extra indulgence!
  • Arrange the fruit-and-cheese skewers (or individual picks) in the nut-filled mason jar, then fill any gaps with extra fresh fruit like blueberries or raspberries. Finish by topping each jar with a piece of dark chocolate for that perfect indulgent touch!
