- Arrange 5 Oreo cookies (or however many you want to work on at once) in a single layer, spacing them out slightly so you have room to spray evenly.
- Give your edible gold spray paint a good, vigorous shake—follow the can’s instructions (usually 1–2 minutes) to mix it well and ensure that shiny, even coverage for your lucky leprechaun “gold coins”!
- Spray each Oreo cookie evenly with the edible gold paint, making sure to cover the tops thoroughly and get into the sides and edges for that full, shiny “gold coin” effect—no missed spots on your lucky leprechaun treasures!
- Start with a light, even coat the first time around (hold the can 8–10 inches away and use sweeping motions). Let it dry for just one minute—this non-water-based edible spray sets super fast and won’t melt, run, or smudge like water-based versions might.
- Once the first side is fully dry (just about 1 minute with this quick-setting edible gold spray), carefully flip each Oreo over using a clean utensil or gloved fingers.
- Spray the opposite side generously, making sure to cover the entire surface—including the edges and any inner ridges—so your Leprechaun cookies look like authentic, shiny gold coins from every angle. No bare spots allowed for maximum “lucky treasure” magic!
