If your Alfredo Sauce is too thin try adding heavy cream and bringing it to a simmer. Be sure to whisk it constantly so you don’t scald the cream. Continue simmering and it will slowly thicken. Or add additional parmesan cheese to thicken, either way will keep the integrity of the basic sauce.
If sauce is too thick you can add either milk or pasta water and bring it to a simmer. Continue to simmer until it reaches your desired consistency.
