Homemade Ice cream Directions
Mix half & half, whipping cream, sugar and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add to your Ice Cream maker and follow manufacturers instructions for that particular ice cream maker
Assembling the Four Layer Ice Cream Pie
Heat your oven to 375° F.
In the food processor, place the crumbled cookies and process for 10-15 seconds until finely crushed. Add the melted butter and process 5-10 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
Spread the cookie mixture into the pie plate and press on the bottom and up the sides. Make sure the bottom and sides are evenly covered as much as possible.
Bake in you preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until set, cool completely.
Stir hot fudge topping until smooth. Carefully spread over the bottom of the Oreo cookie crust. Place in freezer for about 30 minutes.
Spread the vanilla ice cream over the fudge layer and cover. Place in freezer and allow to freeze for about 1 hour or until firm.
Remove from freezer, slice and top with spoonfuls of the cherry pie filling.
