- 2 packages crescent roll dough sheets
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 24 pepperoni slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 slices black olives for every pizza pocket
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll one crescent dough sheet and cut into 8 rectangles. Place them on the baking sheet.
Cut the second dough sheet into 8 rectangles, then cut those into narrow strips for the mummy bandages.
Spread a small spoonful of pizza sauce over each dough rectangle, leaving the edges clear.
Top each with 3 pepperoni slices and a small amount of mozzarella cheese.
Lay the dough strips across the filling to create the mummy look. Press the ends into the sides of the bottom dough to secure.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
Add two small pieces of black olive to each pizza pocket for eyes.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Don’t overfill the pockets or they can be harder to seal.
- Keep the sauce and cheese away from the edges.
- You can swap the pepperoni for Canadian bacon, ham, or finely chopped vegetables.
