I don’t buy pizza sauce or pasta sauce, both can be made easily with ingredients I already have in my pantry.  I can also blend the Italian spices to my family’s taste and I’m sure you will not spend that extra money on store-bought pizza sauce after trying this easy recipe for Homemade Pizza Sauce.

And this no-cook pizza sauce can be whipped up in just under 5 minutes.  It is better if it has time for the flavors to marry but it doesn’t have to.   I usually mix it up prior to starting my pizza dough so I can cover it and give it that little extra time.

How to Make a Homemade Pizza:

no-cook pizza sauce

Either purchase a pre-made pizza dough round or make it from scratch using our basic pizza dough recipe Place the pizza dough on a pizza pan and spread a think layer of the Homemade Pizza sauce on top.   Add your favorite toppings such as cooked sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, peppers etc.  Top with  mozzarella cheese, goat cheese or Monterey Jack Cheese, and then drop spoonfuls of the sauce on top.

Place in a preheated 400° F oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Or place it on a pizza stone and follow the instructions for cooking on your particular stone.   Watch closely since ovens do heat differently.  Remove from oven and allow to cook on a wire rack.   Slice and serve.
