These Patriotic Pretzels have quickly become one of our favorite easy treats for celebrating the 4th of July! Made with simple mini pretzels, white candy melts, a drizzle of red, and plenty of patriotic sprinkles, they're an easy, no-bake treat that's ready in about an hour and a half (with chill time). These candy coated pretzels are perfect for your 4th of July parties, backyard cookouts, or anytime you want to add a pop of red, white, and blue to the snack table.

Instructions

  • Melt the white candy melts according to the package instructions. We love using our candy melt melting pot for smooth, even results, but a double boiler or microwave works great too—just be sure to stir often and avoid overheating.
  • Once melted and smooth, dip each mini pretzel into the white candy coating, turning it gently to cover completely.
  • Use a fork to lift the pretzel out, then lightly tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove any excess coating. This helps give you a nice, even layer without drips.
  • Place the coated pretzels on a parchment paper or wax paper-lined baking sheet and let them cool and harden for about 30 minutes at room temperature (or pop them in the fridge for faster setting)
  • Once the white candy coating has fully hardened (about 30 minutes), melt the red candy melts according to the package instructions until smooth. Transfer the melted red candy to a piping bag (or a zip-top bag with a small corner snipped off).
  • Working quickly, drizzle the red candy back and forth over the top of each pretzel in a fun, festive pattern. While the red drizzle is still soft and glossy, immediately sprinkle generously with your red, white, and blue sprinkles so they stick nicely.
  • Allow the finished pretzels to set again for another 30 minutes (or until the red drizzle is firm) before serving or storing.
