Red White and Blue Pretzels Recipe:

pretzels, candy melts, sprinkles

Ingredients:

Equipment Needed:

  • Candy Melt Melting Pot (or double boiler) (Can also use microwave for melting)
  • Parchment Paper or wax paper
  • Piping Bag

How to Make Patriotic Pretzels:

Melted candy with pretzel

Melt the white candy melts according the package instructions (we used our melting pot).  Dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate to completely coat the pretzel.

Candy Coated Pretzel on fork

Remove the candy coated pretzel from the bowl with a fork.   Lightly tap the handle of the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.

White Pretzels

Place the coated pretzels on a piece of parchment or wax paper and allow them to cool and harden, around 30 minutes.

Red White and Blue Pretzels

When the white chocolate is hardened, melt the red candy according to the package instructions and transfer to a piping bag. Drizzle the red chocolate over the top of the pretzels, then immediately top with sprinkles while the chocolate is still soft.

Allow the red chocolate to cool and harden before serving your patriotic pretzels for about 30 minutes.  We are loving these salty pretzels covered with sweet candy melts and topped with red, white and blue sprinkles.
