- 1 14 inch Metal Ring
- Jute String
- 1 9 ½ inch Wooden Cross Dollar Tree
- 2 Lavender Floral Picks Dollar Tree
- 3 White Lily Floral Picks Dollar Tree
Instructions
- Start your wreath by creating the jute-wrapped cross. You’ll need a wooden cross, jute twine, a hot glue gun, and scissors.
- First, remove the jute hanger that comes attached to the cross. Starting at the top front of the cross, apply a small strip of hot glue. Place the end of the jute twine on the glue and begin wrapping it tightly around the cross. Every couple of wraps, add another line of hot glue to the wood to secure the twine. Continue wrapping until the entire cross is evenly and completely covered.
- Cut short pieces of jute twine and hot glue them over the bare wood along the top edges of the cross. This will neatly cover any spots that were left showing after wrapping.
- Use the lavender picks to help you decide the best placement for the cross on the 14″ metal ring. Once you’re happy with the position, hot glue the cross securely to the ring.
- You will need wire cutters, zip ties, and green floral tape to or attach the Lavender Picks:
- Decide where you want to place the two lavender picks — one at the top and one at the bottom of the wreath. Once you’re happy with the placement, zip-tie them securely to the metal ring.
- Use wire cutters to snip off the excess zip tie ends and any long lavender stems. Then cover the black zip ties with green floral tape to hide them and give a cleaner look.
- Snip the lily floral picks apart into 9 individual flowers.Take 3 lilies and bunch them together, staggering them slightly one above the other. Wrap the stems tightly with green floral tape to hold them in place. Repeat with the remaining lilies so you have 3 bunches of 3 staggered lilies each.
- Zip-tie the three lily bunches to the metal ring. Place the bottom bunch facing downward so the lily petals nicely cover the stems of the bottom lavender pick. Place the top bunch facing upward to cover the stems of the top lavender pick.
- Place the third bunch of lilies facing upward in the center to cover all the remaining stems. Snip off any excess zip ties and floral stems with wire cutters.Cover any visible black zip ties with green floral tape.
- Your beautiful religious Easter wreath is now finished and ready to hang on your door.
