Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place the fresh green beans in a colander or strainer and wash well. If using string beans, remove the strings and snip off the ends of the green beans using a knife or kitchen shears.
  • Heat the olive oil in a wok or large skillet. Add the crushed Thai Chiles and  green beans and stir fry until almost done (about 5-6 minutes)
  • Add the minced garlic and stir fry for 1-2 minutes longer.  Be careful to not burn the garlic pieces.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

You could use canned chopped garlic and Thai chili flakes for ease or you could use fresh garlic cloves and whole dried Thai chilies and chop them yourself. Fresh is always best but convenience is amazing also. We grow garlic and Thai chilies in our garden every few years and preserve them by freezing or dehydrating so we tend to always have fresh. But not to worry if you don’t these Thai Green Beans will turn out amazing with store bought seasonings.
