Our Christmas Coconut Rum Cocktail can be made easily and it brings a little bit a paradise to winter. Rum and coconut always bring to mind sunshine and tropical shores.
But this cocktail is garnished with those gorgeous colors of the Christmas season, red and green. So we are blending south seas flavors and morphing it into a winter cocktail.
This coconut rum cocktail is not a Coquito that is frequently enjoyed around Christmastime in Puerto Rico communities. Our Christmas Rum Cocktail contains rum, coconut milk but with a dash of lime juice.
Before you begin making this coconut rum drink, wash cranberries, slice limes and cut a few sprays of rosemary. Start with a handful of ice to a highball glass or a glass of your choice.
Then add coconut water, simple syrup, and rum to this coconut rum cocktail. The simple syrup can either be homemade or purchased. It’s a sweetener from sugar and water that easily blends into any drink or cocktail.
Add coconut milk and lime juice and use a cocktail spoon to combine gently. This White Christmas coconut rum cocktail can be served at this point or bring it to a new level with Christmas colored garnishes.
