Candy Cane Bark with Dark and White Chocolate

Make the best Candy Cane Bark with this easy peppermint bark recipe in the microwave.   It’s a layered peppermint bark with crushed candy canes on top of dark and white chocolate peppermint bark.

This Candy Cane Bark contains only 3 ingredients and is easily made in the microwave.  But it has all the flavors of Christmas with the white and the dark chocolates and the refreshing flavor of peppermint!

 

What is in this Candy Cane Bark:

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 12 oz. white chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup roughly chopped/crushed candy canes

 

Making this layered peppermint bark recipe in the microwave :

Start your Candy Cane Bark by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Add the white chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl and set aside.  Then add the dark chocolate chips to a separate microwave-safe bowl.

Place the bowl of dark chocolate into the microwave and microwave on 20-second intervals, stirring well between, until melted.  Or you could use a candy melting pot to melt the chocolate chips for convenience.

Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Pour the chocolate into a thin single layer on your baking sheet, smoothing out with a spoon.  Place the baking sheet into the freezer for 30 minutes.

After the dark chocolate has frozen, place the bowl containing white chocolate chip into the microwave.   And microwave the chips on 20-second intervals, stirring well in between, until melted.

Pour the white chocolate over the semi-sweet, smoothing out into a thin layer with a spoon.

Sprinkle crushed/chopped candy canes over top of the white chocolate.   Place the pan back into the freezer for another 30 minutes.

Once solid, break the candy cane bark into small pieces.

  • Place the baking sheet into the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • After the dark chocolate has frozen, add the white chocolate chips to another microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 20-second intervals, stirring well in between until melted. or use a Candy Melting Pot.
  • Pour the white chocolate over the semi-sweet, smoothing out into a thin layer with a spoon.
  • Sprinkle crushed/chopped candy canes over top of the white chocolate.
  • Place the pan back into the freezer for another 30 minutes.
  • Once solid, break the bark into small pieces to enjoy.
