Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls

Did you know that there are Hawaiian crescent rolls?   We sure didn’t.   In the past we have enjoyed making fun and creative sliders using regular Hawaiian rolls.   So  when we learned about these, we had to jump in and try a few recipes, starting with these ham and cheese crescent rolls.

Ham and Swiss Crescent Rolls 

The seasoned butter that is brushed on these ham and Swiss rolls add an amazing amount of extra flavor.  And the butter blend is made from ingredients that you probably already have in your spice cabinet.  Super easy and packs a punch of mouth watering deliciousness. 

 

What’s in these Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls:

Ingredients

  • 1 can sweet Hawaiian Crescent Rolls (Pillsbury)
  • 16 slices ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tablespoon poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon dried minced onions
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Ham and Cheese Appetizers using Crescent Rolls:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.    Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate each of the eight triangles.   On each triangle place two slices of ham and top with a slice of Swiss cheese.

Roll up each crescent roll around the ham and cheese and place them on your ungreased baking sheet.  Place them in the preheated oven and bake for 7 minutes.

While the rolls are baking, prepare your seasoned butter.  Add the melted butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, minced onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a  small bowl.     Then whisk until the butter mixture is well blended.

Remove the ham and cheese crescent rolls from the oven and brush them with the butter mixture.   Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 7 to 9 minutes, until rolls are golden brown.

They need to be served as soon as possible. And you are correct, the will get a little soggy by the next day.
