Crescent Roll chicken appetizer recipe, Chicken Stuffed crescent Rolls

These are a hearty appetizer and look like a regular bread roll until you bite into them and all the gooey cream cheese and chicken is revealed and that makes them extra special in our book.  The potions of these Crescent Chicken bundles are bigger than the average appetizer recipe.  But you could make them smaller by cutting the crescent roll dough into 16 pieces instead of the standard 8.

Chicken bundle Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 -12.5 oz cans white chicken breast drained and shredded
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 1-4 oz jar pimentos

Equipment Needed:

  • Medium Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry Mat
  • Baking Sheet

🥣 Recipe Tips

  • Soften the cream cheese first — Take the cream cheese out of the fridge about 30–45 minutes before starting (or microwave it for 10–15 seconds). Room-temperature cream cheese blends much more smoothly with the chicken, onion, and pimentos, giving you a creamy, even filling without lumps.
  • Don’t overfill the crescents — While a generous two tablespoons sounds perfect, resist the urge to add more. Overfilling can cause the dough to tear or the filling to leak out during baking. If you have leftover filling, save it for a quick lunch the next day or make a smaller batch of mini bundles by cutting each crescent triangle in half.
  • Make them ahead for easy entertaining — Assemble the rolls up to a day in advance, place them on the baking sheet, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate. When ready to serve, just uncover and bake as directed (they may need an extra 1–2 minutes). This makes them ideal for game day, parties, or busy weeknights.

These tips will help your bundles turn out perfectly every time—golden, flaky outside with a warm, gooey filling inside!

How to make these Chicken Crescent Roll Appetizers:
