Simple but elegant, these waterless snow globes can be made from a variety of Dollar Tree supplies.  It’s not a teeny weeny snow globe, it measures 4.375 X 2.5 inches.  

 

What to put in a miniature waterless snow globe Christmas Ornament:

Check your local craft supply stores or dollar stores for mini winter or Christmas scenes items such as: 

  • Mini decorated Christmas Tree
  • Mini Christmas Packages 
  • Little Red Truck
  • Nativity Scene 
  • Vintage style Ice Skaters
  • Santa Claus 
  • Reindeer
  • Forest Animals
  • Red Cardinals
  • Mini Flocked Pine Trees

 

What you need to make these mini snow globe ornaments:

Equipment Needed:

  • Hot glue gun

 

How to make mini snow globe Christmas ornaments:

 

Glueing cotton balls on jar lids

 

Remove the lid from the snow glob ornaments and glue several cotton balls to the inside bottom of the lid.

Glue three trees around in the snow.   You might need to rearrange or fluff the cotton balls to cover the bases of the little trees. This is where you can get creative and add little reindeer, Santa Claus, nativity scenes, etc.

Pour a small amount of the glitter snow flakes inside the clear top of the snow globe ornament.

When the glue is dry, carefully turn the lid over.   And screw it onto the plastic top of the snow globe that contains the glitter snow flakes.

Cut two 3-4 inch square pieces of the burlap to cover your snow globe lids.

Glue the burlap squares to the bottoms of the mini snow globe ornaments. Tie a piece of jute twine around the burlap to secure it in place and finish with a bow.

Tie another piece of the jute twine on the top of the ornaments to hang it from the Christmas tree.

Now you are ready to hang your mini snow globe Christmas ornaments on your Christmas Tree.  But you could also use these as table centerpiece, on a wreath, hanging from or sitting on the fireplace mantel, or as a Christmas present toppers.
