Best Grilled Salmon Recipe using Grilling Cedar Planks

Smoked salmon can be on the pricey side but if you have a few little tricks up your sleeve, your family can enjoy this gourmet dish for a fraction of the cost.

The best way to use cedar grilling planks is to soak them for 30 minutes to an hour prior to using. Place salmon, pork or item of your chose on the wet planks and carefully lay them on a hot grill.

The Best Grilled Salmon Recipe:
This smoked salmon is seasoned with store-bought teriyaki sauce and smoked for about 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 4 Salmon Fillets
- 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce
- Mango de Gallo Recipe

- Hot Grill with lid
- Cedar Grilling Planks
How to make cedar plank salmon on the grill
While the planks are soaking, place salmon fillets in a marinade dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.
Spray a small amount of cooking spray on the soaked planks. Then place the salmon fillets skin side down on them.
Carefully place the soaked cedar planks with the salmon on a hot grill. And close the lid to trap the aromatic smoke.
Cook for about 10 minutes until the salmon is done. It should be flaky but not dry and the internal temperature of 145 degrees measured in the thickest part of the fillet. (you could use an instant-read thermometer) Remove from the grill while still on the planks.

- 4 Salmon Fillets
- 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce

Instructions
- Soak cedar planks completely submerged in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking
- Place salmon fillets in a plastic baggie or marinade container and pour teriyaki sauce over them.
- Heat grill to high
- Lightly spray cooking oil on planks and place salmon fillets on planks, do not crowd the fillets. So to allow plenty of room for smoke to circulate on every side of each one.
- Place planks containing fillets on the grill and close the grill for about 10 minutes
- Check for doneness, the salmon fillet should be flaky and cooked completely. Remove the entire plank with salmon.
