This easy tequila lime marinade is easy and the grilled tequila lime chicken breast meat is moist and delicious. These Seasoned Tequila Lime Chicken Tacos are loaded with flavor and other great toppings.
These chicken breasts were marinated in a mixture of tequila, lime, and spices overnight. Then they are placed on a hot smoking grill and cooked until done.
Allow the chicken breast to rest before slicing. This Tequila Lime Chicken recipe makes the best chicken for tacos. But it could be served as is or even not sliced and the whole breast served with a side of Texas Pinto Beans and Green Chile Cheese Bread.
But our favorite way to serve them is in tacos or a burrito. This plate of Tequila Lime Chicken Tacos is simple and served in a warm tortilla, with fresh jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese.
Tequila Lime Chicken Tacos are great served with:
Marinated Tequila Lime Chicken Breasts grilled, sliced and loaded into a flour tortilla
Place chicken breasts between two pieces of clear wrap and pound with a meat hammer until 1/4th to 1/2 inch thick
Mix the marinade ingredients (first 9 ingredients) in a bowl and then pour into a zip-lock bag or marinade container
Add the pounded chicken breasts to the bag and seal
Place in refrigerator overnight or for at least 6 hours. Note: if using zip lock bags place in a bowl to prevent spills.
Remove from the fridge and grill the chicken breasts for 7-8 minutes per each side until done. Discard marinade.
