You know what we mean, it’s where you go that extra step or you buy that extra ingredient to make a dish the very best.  It’s where you spend a little more time in preparation to show your family or guests how special they are to you.

Asparagus wrapped in prosciutto is not only gorgeous and will be very welcome on your spring table.   But its also great for fall get-to-gathers or winter holiday dinners or parties.  We think it’s one of our best and classiest side dishes.

These Asparagus Prosciutto bundles are what we call a “company dish” but they are completely worth the little extra time for a weeknight meal.  Sometimes we make them for date night in and we make them together adding in the enjoyment of the evening.

Asparagus could be an excellent dish by itself but it’s easy to take it up to an even higher level by wrapping it in prosciutto.   You could use thinly sliced ham but the prosciutto justs ads classier touch and the flavor is amazing.

Tip- These Asparagus and Prosciutto Bundles can be prepared ahead of time and then roasted in the oven for less than 5 minutes prior to serving.

How to make a dish the best is sometimes just a small change, it’s not always a fancy sauce or an overpriced seasoning but it’s spending a little extra love in the preparation.  It’s showing everyone how much you care because you took the time to “classy” up a dish especially for them.

The guys in my family are absolutely addicted to prosciuto-wrapped asparagus, but we usually split the prosciuto and wrap each spear individually, then grill them with whatever seasonings, etc. Yummmmm! [#TastyTuesdays]
