Creepy Halloween Ice Cube Eyeballs

These Halloween Ice Cube Eyeballs are fun for kids and adults. Easy to make these can be used as creepy frozen eyeballs in a glass or as scary punch ice cubes for a children’s party

Halloween ice Cube Eyeballs

I remember when my son was in middle school, I made these Creepy frozen eyeballs.  My son loved them and enjoyed playing tricks on others with them.    But he was concerned he would have to eat them.  HA!   Nope, he could have if he has wished but it was not required.  In fact, I’m not sure how these flavors would go together, and not willing to find out right now.  But as scary ice cube eyeballs, they are super creepy cool!

They are kinda creepy huh!   And these creepy frozen eyeballs are so easy and made with edible items you may already have in your fridge.    I don’t freeze them inside ice cubes like some do because I think that round scary frozen eyeball floating in your favorite beverage is more authentic and freaky.    But I do freeze the eyeball since it will stay together easier and actually serves the second purpose of chilling your beverage.

How to Make Creepy frozen eyeballs:

Ingredients for these Halloween Ice Cube Eyeballs

  • Red Round Radishes
  • Green Olives stuffed with Pimentos

Equipment Needed:

Instructions:

red radishes cut to resemble eyeballs

Cut off the stem and root ends off each radish.  Then use a small knife such as a paring knife to scrape off strips of red skin off each radish.   Leave red stripes to give the radish a veined eye appearance.

Radish into scary eyeball

Either use a very tomato corer or use your knife to carve out a hole into the end of each radish large enough for the 1/2 of an olive.

Olive in radish for eyeballs

Cut the olives in half  and place a half of an olive, cut side out, into the hole of the radish.   Repeat for all the other radishes.

Then place on an ice tray or any container so the eyeballs stand up.   Place them in the freezer and allow to completely freeze.   After the eyeballs are frozen, place them in a ziplock freezer bag and place back into the freezer until ready to use.

And these could be used in all drinks from a children’s Halloween party as scary punch ice cubes to creepy frozen eyeballs for an adult cocktail party.  These Halloween eyeball ice cubes are so easy and fun!
