Now for the Baby Goats
For several years we raised Boer Goats and spring was filled with baby goats!!
They are more fun than kittens:)
Running and hopping and if there is anything to jump on and hop off, so much the better!!
Goats are naturally curious and playful. So when my grandson is in the pen, they all want to meet him:)
But when it's time to eat and momma calls, they all come running!! I was always fascinated that each baby knew their mother and each mother knew their babies. Moms do not let other's babies eat over:) If we had an orphan, we would have to either bottle feed or I would go and hold a mama goat for the little guy to get his meals:)
This is Freckles and she always had three little ones:) As a rule, most baby goats are born in twos but three is about as common as a single birth. We have had baby goats born as quadruplets.
After foodies, mama tucks her little family in and they take a little nap in the sun:)
So enjoy Spring with pictures of these little sweeties!!
