Redneck Wine Glasses
I have been seeing these Red Neck Wine Glasses everywhere and have been dying to make some:)) They are so easy and so much fun. I even painted a small label with chalk paint for a fun extra touch!
Supplies Needed:
Jelly jars (canning jars)
Clear candlestick
JB Weld (clearweld for glass)
Black Chalk paint
Raffia
Following the directions for the JB Weld, mix it well in a disposible container and using the little wooden stick apply the clear weld around the top of the candlestick.
Turn the jelly jar upside down and center the candlestick on the bottom of the jar and press down. Let set for at least an hour or better yet overnight.
We made several for gifts for family and friends. They can be decorated or painted with chalkboard paint and tied with a little raffia or ribbons

I love these glasses, they are just so fun and cute. I have a few friends that I have wanted to make these for BUT haven't gotten around to it, I guess I better get busy . . . huh? I love your idea of the chalkpaint and the chalk . . . I think I may borrow it.

So fun, I've seen them before but I think you've added such a lovely touch with the raffia and chalk paint. In Australia they would be called Bogan wine glasses and being a country that makes a lot of wine I can imagine these would make a fun fab gift. Thanks for linking at freaking awesome Fridays

These are a riot! I can think of lots of folks for whom they would be a great gift!
I have been seeing them around also. Will have to do some for Christmas since I make all of our 19 family gifts. My art class just did an upside down wine glass candle holder with Santa's face painted on it. We base coated with enamel and then used acrylics for the face. Fun project. Cute! I've seen them with regular Ball jars, but I like the quilt design better! Feminine in a Redneck sort of way…!! Love the chalkboard label too!
