How to Make a Shamrock Wire Bookmark:

You can make several of these metal bookmarks in several different sizes.  And you might wish to try other colors of wire such as copper or silver.

Print out the Shamrock template and select any size you’d like to trace.  This template includes different sizes for the metal bookmarks.

Take the 16 gauge wire bundle and the looping pliers and create a small loop at the open end of the wire.    Do not cut the wire from the bundle.

Hold the loop on the center loop of the shamrock template and bend the wire along the template. Use the looping pliers to create loops or curves on the wire tracing the pattern.

Follow the lines of the template pattern bending the wire using only the looping pliers.

Next use flat nose pliers to squeeze and bend the part of the wire right between the cloves.

After tracing around the cloves with the wire using the flat nose pliers to bend the wire along the stem part of the shamrock.

 

Making a Shamrock Wire Bookmark

 

Trace the wire along the shamrock stem pattern using your fingers. And cut off the wire from the bundle keeping a bit of extra wire at its open end.

 Now create a small twirly pattern at the end of the wire

Hammer the Shamrock Wire Bookmark against a hard, plain surface to give it a sturdy structure.
