Chocolate Strawberry Football Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 fresh strawberries
- 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
- 3 ounces white chocolate or almond bark
Equipment Needed:
- Small Bamboo Skewers
- Microwave safe bowl (we used a coffee cup)
- Parchment Paper
- Piping Bag
- Themed ribbon, optional
How to make chocolate covered strawberries footballs:
Trim the ends off each strawberry and pat dry. Place a skewer into the top of each strawberry. If the skewer won’t stay in the strawberry, dip it in melted chocolate and insert it into the top of the strawberry. Allow the chocolate to harden before coating the entire strawberry in chocolate.
Spread a sheet of parchment paper on a wooden cutting board or on your counter. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave safe dish in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is melted.(we used a coffee cup) Dip each strawberry in the melted chocolate until it’s fully coated.
Place each chocolate covered strawberry on the parchment paper to cool and harden. When the chocolate is hard, melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is melted. Transfer to a piping bag.
Cut the tip off the end of the piping bag and pipe laces on top of each strawberry with the white chocolate. Allow the chocolate to cool and harden before serving.
Cut and tie small pieces of themed ribbon on the skewer for a prettier presentation. And Enjoy. Go Team Go!!
