DIY sheet music place settings for your cultery

This is such an elegant table setting that cost almost pennies.  In fact we didn’t pay a penny for ours since we had all the materials in our craft room.   And it only took us a couple hours to make several of these sheet music place settings for all our Christmas Dinner guests.   And there are so many variations for these vintage inspired sheet music pouches simply by changing it up a little.

Any of your favorite songs would make your family dinner very special on any night of the week.   And you don’t have to set a formal table to enjoy these music paper cutlery pouches, you could package the silverware and place them in a basket for a buffet style setting.

Variations for Music paper cutlery pouches:

  • You could use Christmas sheet music for Christmas Dinner
  • Religious music for Easter dinner
  • Have a theme party such a 1950’s sheet music table setting for a rock and roll party.
  • Beach Boys Music Sheets for a beach party
  • Children’s classic sheet music songs for a child’s birthday party.
  • Country Music for any Western or Texas BBQ or Cookout
  • And if tied on a simple brown card with punch hole, these could double as table name cards.

DIY sheet music place setting supplies:

sheet music and scissors

  • sheet music (9 X 12)
  • clear invisible tape
  • twine or ribbon
  • greenery of choice
  • themed charm, optional
  • place name cards with hole , optional

How to fold these vintage inspired sheet music pouches:

Cut and remove one page of sheet music from the sheet music book and lay on a flat surface.  Place it sideways with your choice of music up and the cut side to the top, away from you.  Fold over the cut side of the page about 1 inch and crease it well.   This will become the little fold at the top of your cutlery pouch upon completion.

Flip the sheet music over with the folded side down but to the top. Fold your paper into thirds and crease, then unfold. Refold the left third inward and then fold about 1/2 to 1 inch of the bottom up making the bottom of your pouch. Use the clear tape and tape the bottom fold up leaving the third side on your right still flat or open for now.

Now fold the third or the right side in and carefully tape it to secure it and then flip the pouch over.  This will be the front of your music paper cutlery pouch.

Tying jute onto the music cutlery pouches

Wrap the sheet music pouch in twine, jute or ribbon of your choice and tie it with a bow.
