Grilled Tequila Lime Chicken Breasts

These chicken breasts are grilled to perfection and seasoned with tequila, lime and some awesome seasonings!!  My favorite way to enjoy this chicken is sliced and placed in a warm tortilla with some awesome toppings!!

Gilled Tequila Lime Chicken Breasts
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbs chili powder
  • 1 Tbs cumin
  • 1 Tbs minced garlic
  • 1 Tbs dried cilantro
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
Instructions
1. Place chicken breasts between two pieces of clear wrap and pound flat
2. Mix the marinade ingredients (first 9 ingredients) in a bowl and then pour into a zip-lock bag
3. Add the pounded chicken breasts to the bag and seal
4. Place in refrigerator overnight or for at least 6 hours. Note: place the baggie my bag in a bowl to prevent spills.
5. Remove from the fridge and and grill the chicken breasts for 7-8 minutes per each side until done:)

  26. I love the spices in this! I don't have a grill and, weirdly, neither does my man. I keep trying to convince him that grills are worthwhile - I think he must be the only guy who doesn't love grilling out all the time! This recipe has some of his favorites, so maybe I can use it to help convince him!
