Taco Dip with Salsa

Make an easy taco dip with cream cheese and salsa.  This no bake taco dip recipe with salsa and shredded cheese is served with tortilla chips.   This cold taco dip takes just minutes to prepare but needs to stay in the fridge for about an hour before serving.

Taco Seasoning makes some of the best and easiest dips like this taco dip with salsa.  It is not only easy to prepare but it’s delish and just gorgeous.  You can make this taco dip with cream cheese and salsa, sour cream and taco seasoning.  Then  top it with bright colors of  shredded cheese and sliced green onions for a festive dip.

This is a quick dip recipe that just looks like you spend a lot of time on it. But actually it takes about 5 minutes to prepare but it does need about 1 hour to chill prior to serving. 

 

No bake Taco Dip Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ⅓  cup green onions, chopped

Equipment Needed:

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Serving dish
  • Cheese grater

 

How to make this taco dip with salsa:

Add the cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning in a bowl and mix until very well combined.

Spread the dip mixture over the top of a serving plate. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.

When the cream cheese mixture has chilled, remove from fridge.  And spread the salsa over the top of the cold taco dip in an even layer.

Sprinkle your shredded cheese over the top of the salsa topped dip in an even layer.  Be sure and spread evenly covering the entire cold taco dip with plenty of cheese.

Finish your dip by topping it with chopped green onion and chill until ready to serve.  Be sure and cover it with plastic wrap before placing in the fridge.    You could also top your taco dip with any of the suggestions below:

  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Avocado
  • Black Olives
  • Chopped Green Chile
  • Jalapeño slices
  • Guacamole

Serve this no bake Taco Dip with tortilla or corn chips on the side.  Or if you are watching your carbs, then it is delish with baby carrots, celery stalks, bell pepper strips, or a low carb crackers.

I love this recipe. I’ve made it numerous times now ( I double it for a larger group and make it in a 9x13 pan) …I mistakingly added the whole packet of taco seasoning when I made it one time and I continue to do that now. I top with medium Pace picante sauce, shredded sharp cheddar, green onions and sliced black olives. It is extremely visually appealing and tastes delish with nacho cheese Doritos or tortilla chips for dipping. My only gripe would be that the pictures of this dip on this site don’t look like any taco seasoning was added to the cream cheese/ sour cream layer
