Strawberry Filled Croissants Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar plus 1 tablespoon sugar, divided
  • 1 cup diced strawberries
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream

Equipment Needed:

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Mixer
  • Pastry Brush
  • Whisk

🥣 Recipe Tips

  • Use Cold Crescent Dough: Keep the crescent roll dough refrigerated until ready to use to maintain its flakiness and prevent it from becoming sticky. This makes it easier to unroll and shape without tearing.
  • Evenly Distribute Filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture thinly and evenly across each dough triangle, leaving a small border to prevent leakage when rolling. Use a small spoon to portion strawberries equally to ensure consistent flavor in every bite.
  • Adjust Glaze Consistency: For the perfect drizzle, start with 2 tablespoons of heavy cream in the powdered sugar glaze and add more gradually if needed. A thicker glaze clings better, while a thinner one spreads more easily—test a small drizzle to get your preferred texture.
