Fresh veggies are simply the best.    It is amazing the difference in taste of canned green beans and fresh. Not to mention the difference of sodium levels. And I can make these Thai stir fry garlic green beans in about the same amount of time required to heat a can of green beans.

They are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or an impressive Thai side dish, this stir-fry brings the heat and crunch of authentic Thai cuisine right to your kitchen.

NOTE: Also be aware Thai red chilies do contain a good bit of heat.  So you might wish to go lightly on the chilies unless you are hot chile lovers.

🥣 Recipe Tips

  • Adjust Spice to Taste: Dried Thai red chilies pack significant heat, so start with just 1 chili if you’re sensitive to spice, and taste as you go. You can always add more crushed chilies at the end for extra kick without overwhelming the dish.
  • Prevent Garlic from Burning: Add the chopped garlic toward the end of stir-frying the green beans, as instructed, and keep the heat medium-high while stirring constantly. This ensures the garlic becomes fragrant without turning bitter.
  • Maintain Crisp Texture: Use fresh green beans and avoid overcooking by stir-frying for only 5-6 minutes until they’re bright green and tender-crisp.

  2. Evelyn that's a great recipe. I'm from the south where historically we boiled green beans until soft with some kind of pork. This recipe sounds so delicious and healthy- and fast! I Can't wait to try it.
