What’s in these Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls:
Ingredients
- 1 can sweet Hawaiian Crescent Rolls (Pillsbury)
- 16 slices ham
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tablespoon poppy seeds
- ½ teaspoon dried minced onions
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Equipment:
- Baking Sheet
- Small Bowl
- Whisk
- Basting Brush
🥣 Recipe Tips
- Ensure Even Cheese Melting: Cut the Swiss cheese slices to fit neatly within the crescent roll triangles before rolling. This prevents cheese from oozing out during baking, ensuring a consistent, melty texture in every bite of your Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls.
- Enhance the Butter Glaze Flavor: For an extra flavor boost, let the seasoned butter mixture sit for 5 minutes after whisking to allow the spices, like dried minced onions and garlic powder, to meld with the butter, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, creating a richer glaze for brushing.
- Prevent Soggy Rolls: To keep the crescent rolls crisp, avoid overstuffing with ham and cheese, and place them seam-side down on the baking sheet. This helps the dough hold its shape and ensures a golden, flaky texture after baking.
How to Make Ham and Cheese Appetizers using Crescent Rolls:
These rolls would be perfect for a child’s afternoon snack, a delicious appetizer for a game day or even a cocktail party. They are buttery, flavorful and oozing with goodness. So whether you decide to try the new Hawaiian Crescent rolls or make these with the original, this is a must try recipe.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate each of the eight triangles. On each triangle place two slices of ham and top with a slice of Swiss cheese.

Roll up each crescent roll around the ham and cheese and place them on your ungreased baking sheet. Place them in the preheated oven and bake for 7 minutes.

While the rolls are baking, prepare your seasoned butter. Add the melted butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, minced onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Then whisk until the butter mixture is well blended.

Remove the ham and cheese crescent rolls from the oven and brush them with the butter mixture. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 7 to 9 minutes, until rolls are golden brown.
