Christmas Rice Krispie Squares Recipe:

Ingredients:
- ½ cup butter
- 2- 10 ounce packages mini marshmallows
- 12 ounce package Rice Krispies
- ½ cup red candy melts
- ½ cup green candy melts
- Christmas Sprinkles
Equipment Needed:
- Large Stock Pot
- Non Stick Cooking Spray
- 9 x 13 Baking Dish
- Candy Melting Pot or Dish
- Piping Bags
Here are 3 helpful tips to make your Christmas Rice Krispie Squares
- Keep them extra gooey and soft — Melt the butter and marshmallows over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, and remove from heat as soon as the marshmallows are fully melted. Don’t overcook! Also, when pressing the mixture into the pan, grease your hands or spatula with butter or non-stick spray and press gently—packing too firmly can make them hard.
- Perfect the drizzles and sprinkles — Melt the red and green candy melts in short bursts in the microwave (stirring often) to avoid scorching. Snip a tiny corner off the piping bag for finer lines, and sprinkle the Christmas sprinkles immediately after drizzling while the candy is still wet so they stick perfectly.
- Make fun pops or reindeer variations — For easy handling, insert popsicle sticks gently into the cooled squares from the bottom. To turn some into adorable reindeer (a fun twist!), use pretzel twists for antlers, candy eyes, and a red candy for the nose—press them in after a light chocolate drizzle on top.
How to make Christmas rice Krispies treats on a stick:

- In a large stock pot, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Once the butter is fully melted, add the marshmallows and stir constantly until they are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

- Remove the pot from the heat. Immediately add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir vigorously until every piece is evenly coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.

- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray (or lightly butter it). Transfer the Rice Krispies mixture to the dish and spread it out evenly.
- Gently press the mixture down with greased hands or a spatula until it’s firm and level—avoid packing it too tightly to keep the treats soft.
- Let it cool completely at room temperature for at least 2 hours before cutting.

- Once the Rice Krispie treats have cooled completely (at least 2 hours), cut them into 30 small squares and arrange them on a cooling rack set over parchment paper or a baking sheet to catch drips.
- Melt the red and green candy melts separately according to the package instructions (usually in short microwave bursts, stirring frequently until smooth).
- Transfer the melted candy to piping bags (or zip-top bags with a tiny corner snipped off). Drizzle the red and green melts generously over the tops of each square in a fun zigzag pattern.
- While the drizzles are still wet, immediately sprinkle Christmas sprinkles over the top so they stick perfectly. Let the candy set before serving or adding sticks!

For an extra-fun and festive touch, gently insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each cooled Rice Krispie square. This turns them into easy-to-hold treats on a stick—perfect for parties and a bit less messy for little hands!

These festive Christmas Rice Krispie Squares are the perfect no-bake treat to brighten up your holiday season—easy to make, budget-friendly, and guaranteed to bring smiles to kids and adults alike.
