Michelle's Taco Soup

My youngest daughter, Michelle, is a major jock and she loves the competition of playing and watching sports.
She also sees life as a competition and jumps to the occasion of conquering her fears, and the ever present bumps in the road of life.   But she loves easy food that can be thrown together in a crock pot and food that soothes the body and soul.  Yep easy comfort food and fierce competition is her forte!!
We are having a crowd over for The Big Game playoffs and I immediately thought of Michelle's Taco Soup.
It's her favorite go-to dinner, it's all comfort on the inside but tough enough for any competition and it can really feed a crowd!!    It's delicious and it can soothe those hurt feelings when one's team is knocked out of the playoffs or dished up to celebrate all victories!!

And the champion of Taco Soup is RO*TEL®.

RO*TEL® is an amazing combination of tomatoes and green chilies and it not only makes the best queso, it can be added to your favorite chili recipe or in spicy soups with or in place of canned tomatoes.

And now you can throw an awesome crowd pleaser for the playoffs and everyone can cheer for their favorite team while they enjoy a huge pot of Taco Soup made with RO*TEL®!!
This is easy comfort food for all those competitive souls like my daughter Michelle!!

And if you set up a Taco Soup Bar with all the fixings, your hostess duties will be easy peasy!
Just set out bowls, spoons and ladle next to the slow cooker and then you can add a bowl of grated cheese, chopped onions or jalapeƱos and slices of crusty bread on the side.

  9. I've eaten taco soup before, but it was bland. Your recipe, with the Rotel, Taco Seasoning and Ranch Salad Dressing mix sounds like it would have the "punch" I've been looking for. Thanks for the recipe! How many hopefuls does this usually make?
