Mexican 7 Layer Dip
This 7 layer dip is always a hit at any party. It’s also perfect for a Football Sunday or just a fun evening with the family. It’s an easy Mexican Layer Dip consisting of refried beans, guacamole and spiced sour cream topped with colorful toppings. This 7 Layer Taco Dip can be ready in about 20 minutes. is served with tortilla chips which makes the best tasting Layered Nacho Dip.

What if I told you it only takes 20 minutes to whip up this Mexican marvel? Yes, you read it right! This Mexican-inspired appetizer combines a variety of enchanting flavors through layers of refried beans, guacamole, and spiced sour cream, topped with colorful ingredients. Always a hit at any gathering, this dish is perfect for your next Cinco de Mayo fiesta, game day, or family gathering. It brings a festive air to any Mexican fiesta. We love to grab a serape tablecloth and add a few bright napkins and set a buffet-style table. Add a pitcher Margaritas or Sangria and let the festivities begin.
Mexican 7 Layer Dip Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 31 ounce can of refried beans
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 16 ounce container of sour cream
- ½ cup of mayonnaise
- 1 ounce package of taco seasoning (2 Tablespoons)
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2.25 ounce can of sliced black olives
- 2-3 green onions, sliced
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Equipment:
- 13 X 9 inch pan (clear is prettier)

How to assemble a 7 layer dip:
Instructions:

Spread beans in a 13 X 9-inch glass pan or dish

Peel and mash avocados in a small bowl, add juice from one lime, and a sprinkle of salt and spread mixture evenly over beans

Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning in a mixing bowl and blend well. Spread sour cream mixture evenly over avocados.

Sprinkle on sliced black olives, chopped tomatoes, grated cheese, and sliced green onions.

This 7 Layer Dip is so colorful and has an amazing combination of flavors. And this 13 X 9 pan makes plenty for a crowd. It’s a favorite of our many Mexican food recipes and probably one of the most popular appetizers we make. We also serve this Mexican Layer Dip at Family reunions, with drinks on the patio and of course its a must for Super Bowl. A Taco Dip or Nacho Dip with seven layers of Mexican flavors
Ingredients
- 1 31 oz can refried beans
- 3 ripe avocados

Looks great! Pinned 🙂 {may I just ask – how long is a match?} I have never watched one as it is not big in South-Africa. We have Rugby which is 40 minutes on each half and normally we watch till halftime, then light the braai {BBQ} and after the game the party begins!
